Santa Barbara Retreat Medicine Weekend

Come experience resonance, connection, prayer, healing, and teachings from these sacred medicines with us at a beautiful temple sanctuary space in Santa Barbara, surrounded by nature and with sweeping views of the ocean. 

Maya Martinez, founder of Somos Sanctuary, was raised in both Colombia and New York City, and has been on a life-long journey studying with indigenous teachers from Colombia, Mexico, the United States, and Brazil, where she was given the name Sakakatwa ‘Rainbow,’ by her family of the Fulniô Tribe. As a dedicated student, she continuously deepens her studies with the sacraments, and has learned many traditional ceremonial practices that help raise the vibration of the planet. It is with great honor, permission, and care, that she shares the weavings of this knowledge with those who are ready to answer the call and receive the wisdom and downloads that come.

Our Ceremonies are held in sacred silence carried by sound frequency, and live songs, ikaros, chants and prayers. Please note that the burning of dried herbs and tobacco at different moments throughout the ceremony is to be expected.

Accommodations/Sleeping Arrangements: 

We ask that everyone stay overnight in the Ceremonial Space. Please bring what you will need to be comfortable for sleeping overnight including padding, pillows and sleeping bag/blanket.

In order to reserve your spot at this beautiful property and receive the potent magic of this medicine weekend, please click “Register” and then select the appropriate sliding scale. There is a $100 deposit required, this deposit is non-refundable. You will then receive a confirmation email with instructions for how to complete your registration. We will require a confidential health history and intake call with our team to discuss your current physical and mental circumstances. You will also receive instructions for paying the balance of your pledge.

About our Sliding Scale Program:

In order to offer access to all who are called to this experience, we use a sliding scale system for the exchange. We trust you to evaluate your economic situation and determine the most equitable exchange for your circumstances. Some guidelines to consider when choosing your exchange:

• Highest Exchange: This tier is for those who have financial freedom are able to easily pay for "wants" and do not worry about securing necessities in your life. If you are blessed with economic privilege and the power it offers, this exchange rate is for you. Selecting this exchange also helps subsidize the participation of those experiencing limited economic resources and contributes to making this work accessible to all in a sustainable way.
• The Middle Exchange reflects the true cost of this event and is what we would recommend if there was no need to take economic justice into consideration.  If you do not spend most of your time thinking about meeting basic needs such as food, shelter, medical care, child care, etc., then this is the tier for you.
• The Lowest Exchange represents our awareness that there are folks whose economic circumstances would prevent them from being a part of ceremonies if there was not a deliberate opportunity made for them to access services at a cost that is reflective of their economic realities. You deserve a community that honors your exchange as equal as an offering as the person who can pay the highest tier.
• If the lower tier is still prohibitive, please reach out to info@somossanctuary.org or (929) 333-4850 so that we can work with your specific situation.  We can also discuss payment plans, if needed, for any of the tiers. We are committed to access for all regardless of financial means, and will work with you to seek an equitable arrangement.
• Please Note: Being honest with yourself about your financial situation when engaging with sliding scale practices grows strong and sustainable communities. We are here to serve and support each other, this is one way we are able to do so.
